Counselling can help you contact your inner resources and strengths, resolve trauma, increase self confidence, clarify decisions, help build healthy relationships, and enhance creativity and performance. It helps to integrate the physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual aspects of your being and to help you move beyond self limiting beliefs.
My work includes the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a technique to help resolve traumatic or overwhelming events in our lives as children or adults. It can also be used very effectively to free up our creativity by lessening anxieties and limiting self beliefs so that we can enhance our performance in any area.
I also work with mindfulness in sessions, as well as offering an eight week mindfulness course (MBSR) based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, a few times a year. Research has shown mindfulness to be extremely beneficial for our physical and mental health.
As well I offer a one day workshop on mindful self-compassion (MSC) a few times a year.
